Christian Busch, of Centertown, age eighty-four
years, died last Sunday at the home of his daugh-
ter, Mrs. George Connell, near Mt. Carmel church,
at which place he had been visiting for the past
week. Old age and general debility are thought
to have been the cause of his death.
Besides a host of friends he leaves three daughters
and three sons who will mourn his death. Mrs.
Mary Lademan, of Centertown, with whom he lived,
Mrs. George Connell, of Mt. Carmel, and Mrs. Philip
Lotz near McGirk, Henry Busch, Beaumont, California,
and Chris and Will of near Scrivner are the children.
Funeral services were conducted at the Salem German
Evangelical church by Rev. A. Dreusicke, pastor of the
above church, after which the remains were interred in
the church cemetery.

John Christian Busch died at his home on the farm a few miles east of this city Friday afternoon, last.A large funeral cariage from the home reached the German Evangelical church of this city Monday morning about 10:30 o'clock, where Rev. F. P. Conbeck delivered the funeral sermon to a full house of relative, neighbors and friends.The pall bearers were Judge Fred Bloch, Judge Gotlieh Heibreder, Christ Boehlen and Sam Snyder.
Mr. Busch was a native of Switzerland and coming to Missouri in 1868, when 19 years of age.In 1876 he was married in this county to Miss Louisa Coraine Mueller, who survives him together with nine children, all grown, five of whom are married and four single.
Mr. Busch has been confined to the home since January and, gradually growing weaker until the end came.He was born August 4, 1849, being slightly past 65 years of age.Christ Busch was highly esteemed by his neighbors, resonable and just in his dealings and recognized by all as a good man of strict integrity.
The family was a large one, loyal and devoted to each other whilst death has claimed the father it is no doubt a great consolation to the children to know that the devoted, practical, worthy, good mother is still with them.The children are:Mrs. Pauline Luanberger, Colorado; Carl Busch, St. Louis; Ernest Busch, Mrs. Emma Ganzer, Otto Bush, Kansas City; Frank Busch, Mrs. LouiseRentsch, California and Misses Ernestine and Bertha at home, all of whom were at the funeral, except Mrs. Luenberger.He is also survived by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Busch was a consistent member of the Evangelical church of this city, serving several years as deacon.
