4-20-01Dear Nancy, My grgrandfather came from Kansas to Roseburg about 1910.There were relatives in Ohio.I wqs told there was once a Busenbark landing on the Ohio river where steamboat docked to take on wood. There are other Busenbark families living in Washington. There is another Robert Busenbark living in Bremerton Wash. There are Busenbarks living Portland Oregon. There was a split in the Busenbark family before the 1770.There was a man named Busenbark who came into New Jersey from Germany about 1750 and he had 8 sons. They later moved to New York. One family became one of the first converts to the Mormon religion under Joseph Smith. His name is listed on the temple in Salt Lake City as one of those who came west with Brigham Young. We are not of that branch of the family.
