Christopher P. Bussart was my grandfather. Our family tradition says that he and his siblings were placed in a Catholic orphanage in Louisville KY after his father (possibly Fred Bussart) abandoned the family.I have nothing on Catherine or other siblings.FYI, In 1911, Christopher married Josephine Linette, originally from Siberia Indiana (across and down river from Louisville).Siberia IN now consists of a sign on a fence and a Catholic curch (St Martin of Tours) The Linettes were German. The earliest readable stone ID's Joseph Linette (in German) b 1/7/1816, d. 12/13/1989.Several Linettes are buried in that church's cemetary.Christopher & Josephine are buried in Calvary Cemetary in Louisville (Section 12, Lot 222-C)Christopher worked for the L&N railroad and moved to Etowah TNwhich was founded by the railroad in 1906. Christopher and Josephine has 5 children, two of whom died in infancy. The three survivors (Christopher Leo, Louise, & Walter) all reached adulthood, married and had families.Leo died in the 1980's.Louise ("Cissy"), age 90, and Walter age 88 are living.Walter is my dad. Most of the family lives in TN, with a few in FL, GA and NY.
One of my cousins has more info on the family.I'll add to this if I can get anything more.
Would love to see/hear about what you might have on the family.
