I was a high school teacher in Naperville for 34 years and just recently retired.I am familiar with all of those names from the area.Edwin BUTZ (brother of Simon) was my ancestor. He had relocated to Evansville, Indiana and I thought he had gone straight there from Pa.My aunt had always told me that part of the family had gone to Chicago.Actually, they had gone from Pa to Naperville and my branch on to Indiana.
I was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois and always had an unexplainable "thing" for Indiana.I even went to Indiana State, where during senior year, Naperville School District called and asked me to apply. I had never heard of Naperville, but ended up spending my whole career there.Only last year did I discover that John BUTZ and Lydia DIEHL are buried across the street from the school administration building where I had attended many a meeting.I have had many cousins in class without knowing it and became well acquainted with the wife of one of your BUTTS.When I coached tennis I had a player--Beth DIEHL.One of your BUTTS was the first school superintendent in the DuPage area. It goes on and on..
There is no such thing as a coincidence.
