Forrest Bybee Larsen was the son of Frederick James Larsen and Mary Jane Bybee. Mary Jane was the daughter of Alfred Alma Bybee and Emily Maria Price. Alfred was the son of Absolum Atkerson (Atkinson) Bybee and Nancy Walker.

Forrest Bybee Larsen, 83, of Boise, Idaho, and formerly of Lewiston, Utah, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. He was born May 30, 1923, in Lewiston, Utah, to Frederick James Larsen and Mary Jane Bybee Larsen. He attended school at North Cache in Richmond, Utah. For a short time following high school, he worked with his father on the family homestead. He later served with the Merchant Marines in Alaska. In Sept. of 1946, he married Mary Lou Maughan. They later divorced. In 1951, he moved to Boise where he worked for Garrett Freight Lines and was self-employed in the transportation industry. He eventually began working for the Boise Cascade Corporation in the transportation department and in about 1986 he retired from there. His true love was farming and while working full time he continued to be involved with small farming operations in the Boise valley. Following retirement, he spent winters in Laughlin, Nev., and summers in Idaho. He enjoyed walking, running, riding his bike, boating, traveling in his R.V., and being actively involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Forrest was an honest and loving man, full of integrity, and will be sorely missed by his many friends and family. He is survived by the following: son, Kelly (Mac) Larsen of Idaho Falls; son, Keith Larsen of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Bybee Larsen of Hyde Park, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard ÒDickÓ Larsen; a sister, Ruth Jenkins; and a grandson, K. J. Larsen. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at the Lewiston Cemetery, in Lewiston, Utah. The family will receive friends from 9 -10 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street in Idaho Falls. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bell Funeral Home in Boise.
