My namesake is my 2nd Great grandfather, Charles Claiborne Cage, son of John Cage and Thankful Morgan. (John and Pulaski Cage were brothers.)Pulaski's son was Dr. Charles Carroll Cage, of whom I have two very nice photographs:one during the civil War and the other much later.
The sons of Maj. William Cage who came to Wilkinson County were: James, (Richard) Pulaski, Harry, and Albert. His son John died quite young, and John's sons Charles Claiborne and Benjamin Morgan also came to Wilkinson County.
Only Pulaski and Charles Claiborne stayed in Wilkinson County and have descendants there now.Harry (who served in the MS State Legislature), James and Albert all moved to Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Some of Harry's descendants are scattered around the MS/LA border; James and Albert never married and had only illegitimate children.
There are also some descendants of Robert Cage-yet another son of Maj. William Cage-in MS and LA, though they never came to Wilkinson County.
