Could this also be spelled " CAILLET " ? There are many ways to spell this name , and that is only if I am pronouncing it right. Callier,Caillier......and so on. We where taught to say it as such : KI - Yay( That is with a long "I" after the K and a long A in " Yay " )So this is how we pronounce my mother's maiden name.CAILLET or( KI-YAY ) I am Martha and my mother was a CAILLET, Caille, from St. Charles Parish,Louisiana and lived in Hahnville, Louisiana before marrying. She married a Walter E. Millet from Montz, La and then moved to Norco, Louisiana. My mothers mother was Denise Marie Waguespack who married Cyril Antoine Caillet.( there are records that show her name as Marie Denise Waguespack )Denise Waguespacks parents were :FATHER: Victor Lovincie Waguespack and MOTHER : Octavie Robert.Marie Denise Waguespack was born : October 04, 1889. I can only hope that this may be the same family. If not, I do appologise for any intrusion I may have been. Best regards to finding your family.I honestly hoped I helped some.
Thank you for your time, Martha
I hope that maybe this could be another way this surname was spelled.
