From Rachel Calderwood-Reid's death certificate you can find what the house looked like in Chicago. She lived at 204 N. Springfield. On the web look up Cook Dounty Assessor and type in that address. There it is.
Robert Hugh Calderwood married Mary Ann Bradley in Co. Antrim. They had 7 daughters I know of.
Margaret born June 4, 1853 married Wm Moore O'Neill; this is my line--great grandparents.
Rachel born 1854 who married Wm J. Reid.
Elizabeth born about 1849; Jane born 8-20-1843; Sarah born about 1848, Mary born Nov. 19, 1856 and Jenina born Nov. 8, 1857.
Their mother, Mary Ann Bradley died in Ireland June 6, 1872. Wm Moore O'Neill (husband of Margaret) was a carpenter, heard there was work building cars in Belle Plaine, IA, came over with his wife and children in 1880s.All the other sisters and husbands (if they married in Ireland came too-to Iowa for a while, as they are in the census there.Later Rachel Calderwood-Reid and Wm. came to Chicago.
As for the aunt Elizabeth you mentioned, I assume she was Elizabeth Calderwood, sister to Rachel.I haven't had a chance to track down who she married.
If you look on the Ellis Island site, you'll find Wm John Reid, Rachel, daughters Helen and Sarah came over on the S.S. Cedric arriving in NY 30 October 1903.I believe they went home for a visit and returned. I think they originally immigrated in 1881.
