SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Phyllis A. McCullough, 76, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 4, 2009 at Forest Park Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Howe. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday evening between the hours of 5 and 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born on March 2, 1933 in Bellepoint, West Virginia, the daughter of Brady P. and Virginia E. Cales. She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Phyllis was a member of First United Methodist Church in Shreveport. She spent her entire adult life as a housewife, loving and caring for both her husband of more than fifty - seven years and their daughter.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Brady P. Cales and Virginia E. Cales. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Charles H. McCullough, their daughter, Sheri M. Sundquist and son-in-law, John S. Sundquist; two grandchildren, Amanda B. Sundquist and Justin S. Sundquist and wife, Gabby; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Baranowski of Bellville, Texas; two brothers, Charles and Bobby Cales of Hinton, West VA, along with their spouses; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Phyllis was a warm, loving, outgoing Christian woman who never met a stranger. She lived a wonderful life and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. Forest Park Funeral Home
