I am Mckinney Cammack's niece, daughter of William R. Cammack, Matador, TX.McKinney was born 7 March 1881 in Tyler County, Texas. His family moved to Motley County when McKinney was aout ten years old.He died 10 August 1959 in Denver, Colordo. He had been in bad health for a long time. I did not know him very well, but other family members talked about him from time to time.As I remember it, he had some kind of lung or breathing problem, perhaps tuberculosis. His half-sister exposed the family to tuberculosis in the late 1890's.Also, he left Amarillo and lived alone in northeastern New Mexico trying to cure his illness, whatever it was. I think he had no children except an adopted daughter. Also, I think he was divorced. His brother, Dr. Bragg Cammack, went several times from Clifornia to Denver to do what he could for McKinney during his last illness. McKinney was buried in East Mound Cemetery in Matador, TX.
