I am Alan Bishop, a great-grandson of Franklin Peck Bishop and CynthiaBishop. They were original settlers in Union Township, Fayette County, Iowa where I was raised.Fanklin homesteaded there in 1849.My grandfather was Harry Wilson (Jeff) Bishop, the 11th child of Franklin and Cynthia. The oldest of the children were Susan, James, Sarah and Elizabeth, all born in Kentucky. The next four, William Hamilton (Tone), Hiram, Wayne and Jane were born in Wisconsin where Cammack relatives lived and Cynthia's mother, Susan lived out the last years of her life.Apparently, Cythnthia traveled from Iowa to Wisconsin to have the babies. The other four, Martha, Adelaide, Harry(my grandfather) and Frank were all born in Union Township, Fayette County, Iowa and lived all their lives in Fayette County.I only remember Great-Uncle Frank. He was like a grandfather to me.Susan and James lived out their lives in Fayette County, also.I went to high school with two of her great-grandaughters.Great-Uncle Tone moved to Kansasand I assumme that he is your ancestor.I have a family tree on Ancester.com named BarkerBishop family tree.
