CANDEE,Caleb 2nd 1743-1828 Was he in the Rev War?
I have the Candee Family Genealogy by Charles Candee Baldwin, 1882. On pgs 16-18, it tells of Caleb 1st, son of Samuel and husband of Lois Mallory.Iin the small print mentions more of the history between these pages.
It states at the bottom of pg 17& into pg 18:
"All of the children of Caleb were born subjects of Great Britain, and all of them, we believe, served in the Revolutionary Army."
Does anyone know for SURE if his eldest son Caleb, in fact served in the Rev. War.
I have tried NARA on several other persons I knew was in the Rev. or Civil war, yet I would geta response back that NARA have no records on the person I requested.
Any other suggestions as to how to go about proving that Caleb & his brothers were in the Rev War?Any positive input would be appreciates.Thanks.
Dianne
