nooo you didn't hurt my feelings at all! I want to know the truth about how things were. And yes, Dad was in the Flying Tigers. It would mean more than you know to be able to believe that he really loved us kids, and missed us when he left my mom (mutual split, is her version).
Do you have any pics of your dad online? I've never seen him either. Unless he was one of the people I never could identify in the old pics of Uncle Willie, or aunt Marie. (She was married to Danny, had three daughters with him. She is an awesome person. Remembers EVERYTHING from the old days on .. um.. some street they all lived on in Brooklyn.) There were tons of pics at Nino's funeral. We went thru as many as we could. She would pointand say "Oh this is so and so, and that is you know who." There was one in there of Irene, but she was out of focus .. or the pic was taken from an odd angle. You couldn't see her face, was the upshot!
Marie's oldest daughter sent me an email yesterday and said she thought she remember meeting Irene once when she was little and that she was very beautiful and had red hair! I'm not a natural redhead but I've been dying my hair since I was a SR. in highschool, convinced I was the only one in the family. I would love to know different :)
