CANNADY Ancestry and DNA

I now have 105 Family Finder Matches; and have worked out the paper trail to a common ancestor for 14 of them. The ancestry path from me to each of the 14 common ancestors passes through 38 different surnames! It takes some amount of work to get many of the matches to share (and 1/3 of them haven't replied at all), and then there's ususally some additional digging to make sure the paper trail is right, but I'm really getting my money's worth out of this test.
One of my matches shares this common ancestor with me, and we are 9th cousins:
Sion W HILL 1643-1705 VA; m Elizabeth SMITH
their son: Richard
his son: John
his dau: Nancy HILL b 1733 VA; d 1801 Franklin Co, VA; m 11 Sep 1759 VA William CANADAY b c1730 Kent Co, MD; d 1801 Franklin Co, VA
their dau: Misniah CANNADY b c1750; d c1803 Franklin Co, VA; m c1763 Samuel UNDERWOOD b c 1740 Chester Co, PA; d c1803 Franklin Co, VA
their son: Emanuel UNDERWOOD b c1780 Orange Co, NC; d c1849 Franklin Co, VA; m c1804 Elizabeth "Celia" _____
etc. down 5 more generations to me (including surnames: MITCHELL and BARTLETT)
I again encourage anyone (male or female) who descends from the CANNADAY line from Somerset, Kent and/or Talbot Co, MD or the Franklin Co, VA area to take the Family Finder DNA test. If we match, it would validate a lot of our research.
I'd still like to know if any male CANNADAY has done the Y-DNA testing.
