SOMERSWORTH — Albert P. Cantin, 79, of Washington Street, died April 6, 2011, at York Hospital.
He was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Somersworth, the son of Delphis A. and Marie E. (St. Laurent) Cantin.
He was the widower of Patricia (McGlone) Cantin and Claire J. (Demers) Cantin.
Albert retired from Moore Business Forms, having worked in the assembly department.
He was an avid sports enthusiast, closely following the Red Sox and Celtics.
Albert worked for a time at the University of New Hampshire, having worked in the athletic department in various capacities.
Members of the family include his son, David Cantin of Pittsfield, N.H.; a daughter, Suzanne (Mrs. Daniel) Bourque of Milton, N.H., and a grandson, Jacob Bourque.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
