My great-great-grandfather was Isaac Ramsey (b. 1822) and was supposedly married to Katherine Capeheart (b. 1824).They probably moved from Edgefield District, South Carolina to Cass County, GA in 1843 along with Randal Ramsey (probably Isaac's father) and Richard Wearthington (or Worthington) (Randal's brother-in-law).Other related Capehearts may have possibly moved to the area during the same general time period.According to Edgefield District, SC 1840 census, a James Capeheart was living next to a James Ramsey. (My Randal Ramsey lived not too far away, next to several families of Wearthingtons.)According to the 1850 census, James Capeheart (shown to be age 45) was still there and family was shown to be: wife - Rachael (age 40), son - William F. (age 17), daughter - Martha (age 15), and daughter - Sarah Ann (age 7).However, 1840 census leads me to believe that James had 4 sons and 2 dauthers (not including Sarah Ann who was not yet born - so actually a total of 3 daughters). Some of the children were obviously grown and out of the house.I suspect that Katherine may be their oldest daughter. One or more of the 3 sons not listed may have travelled to GA.I'm looking for any information that firmly links Katherine as a Capeheart and possibly to James if appropriate.
