Hi Jackie, I was delighted to receive your message re. Aaron Bateson Cappleman, particularly as I did not know that George John had had a younger brother. This part of my family tree was constructed with the help of my father and he did not know a great deal about his grandfather's family. My grandmother was Ethel Jane Cappleman and I believe she had an older brother Herbert(b.10.11.1881) and a younger brother James Thomas(b.2.9.1887). I assume that Aaron and George were brothers because my information shows that George's father had married a Jane Bateson. The rest of my information has come from the Mormon records and I have not as yet examined any E.Y. church records for this part of my family. You probably have the same records from the Mormon records which appear to lead back through Thomas Cappleman's father William (c.Mappleton 22.1.1781) to Thomas Cappleman who married Catherine Pearson in Mappleton on 11.1.1773. Apart from some details of the respective siblings of some of the family my attempts at research do not go back any further. I am reluctant to disclose too many details but though I live in Southampton, my father and brother live in Hornsea in E.R.(not far from where I was born) and I have had time to look in to L.R. church and in particular the window which is dedicated to some members of the family. If you don't live local to L.R. then I could offer further details. Please do not take all of I have said to be gospel because alot of it is not supported by documentary evidence. There may also be glaring omissions - I suspect my grandmother may have had other siblings for example. Thanks for the information ,please keep in touch.
