Antonio Caputo marriage to Teresa Fabrizio, 1907 NY
I am trying to follow through with a 'marriage license' that I found on the LDS Family Search pilot page. It is for Antonio Caputo, age not listed, parents Luigi Caputo, and Margarita (Radice) Caputo. Teresa Fabrizio, age not listed, daughter of Francesco Fabrizio and Maria Michele (Pietropinto) Fabrizio.
I find this particularly interesting because my g-grandmother was Teresa Maria Fabrizio, daughter Francesco Fabrizio and Maria Michela (Pietropinto) Fabrizio. They lived in NY during 1907, so residence and timing is accurate. But I have never heard of Teresa having been married prior to 1910 when she married my g-grandfather in Wash DC. For that marriage, she is listed as single, Miss Teresa.
So my first question is: Does anyone know this family of Antonio Caputo and his parents?
Second question: Is a 'marriage license' the same as a marriage certificate? Does it mean that a marriage took place? Or, as in the case of myself when I was living in Michigan, my fiance and I had to apply for a license first, and then got the certificate on the night we got married.
ANY INPUT is APPRECIATED!~Amanda
