James II (1430-1460)= Mary van Egmond (1432-1463 | Mary Stuart (bef.1452-c.1448)=James Hamilton (c.1415-1479) | Elizabeth Hamilton (d.aft.1531)=Matthew Stewart (d.1513) | Elizabeth Stewart=Hugh Campbell(1502-1561) | Marion Campbell(1528-?)=James Carmichael of Hindford. | Lots of Carmichaels, etc.
The problem with this is Marion Campbell.Douglas' Peerage of Scotland (pub c.1800) says she was the dau. of Hugh and Eliz.So does Burke's Extinct peerage (pub c.1890).But Paul's The Scots Peerage leaves her out altogether.
Was Paul right to leave her out of that Campbell family?
