Lewis Earl Carnes second child of James and Louisa Carnes, was Brn 19 May 1899 according to The Department of Veteran Affairs burial records. These records indicate that he died 21 October, 1960 and was buried 27 October, 1960 in the Ft Logan National Cemetery at Denver, Colorado. His grave is located in Section J, site 43. Lewis served in the First World War after enlisting in the National Guard at Huntsville on 5 June 1917.
