My gg-grandparents were:
CHARLES J. CARPENTER b.Jan 25, 1860 in Pompey, Onondaga co, New York d.in Oriskaney about 1956 and
HARRIET JANE EASTON b. Aug 17,1862 Oriskany, New York d.1945 Oriskany New York.
Thier Children were Grace, Stella, George, Charles, Floyd, Florabell, Harold, Lester, Irene, Walter, Lauretta. Their last child was born in 1905. Family lore stated that our name was origininally Carpentier, or something like that.
I found some info on Charles' family of origin:
Charles "Joseph" Carpenter Sr. "Came to the Central New York area from Canada"
I have many News clippings and family photos of Charles and Harriets family for anyone working on these ppl. I hope to hear from someone soon.
P.S. Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful!
