I am interested in learning more about Timothy Carr, b. Ireland anywhere from 1844-1850. Here is what I know of him at this point.
He married Mary Jane Knight (b. 1853 Virginia) sometime between 1870 and 1880. Probably in Missouri, based on where they were according to the census, but I have not seen any kind of marriage record.
According to the 1910 census, the approximate immigration year for Timothy is 1866.
The children I have accounted for are the following: Michel Carr - b. abt 1872 Missouri Ella M (Carr) McLellan - b Jan 1873 Missouri *Not Named* Carr - b. August 13, 1883 Ray County, Missouri Katharine (Carr) Deickmann - b 1886 Missouri William Carr - b. 1892 Colorado Nona M. Carr - b. 1897 Colorado I suspect there are more children and I also suspect the two eldest children may be to a prior spouse that may have died.
Timothy and Mary are listed as the parents of the unnamed child born in Ray County, Missouri. I presume the child died at birth, or Katharine's birth year is off and the unnamed child and Katherine are one in the same.
I find the family in the 1880 Census in Vibbard, Ray, Missouri and do not find most of the family again until the 1910 Census in Pagosa Junction, Colorado. I do, however, find Nona living with her sister (Ella) and brother-in-law in the 1900 census in Telluride Town, Colorado.
A "cousin" of Timothy is listed in the household in 1880 by the name of Charlie Graham. I have not found Charlie and Timothy together in any other records to find how they were related. I have determined that Charlie was born in Kentucky in 1856 and spent the remainder of his days in Missouri (Caldwell County), dieing there in 1940. He married Margaret (MNU) and had 6 children: Sallie, William, Thomas, Charles, John, and Peter. I have been unable to pinpoint his parents.
I can not find anything on Timothy before 1880 definitively. I have come across other Timothy Carrs in census records, but have ruled them out as being my Timothy for one reason or another. I am sure he is part of a larger Irish Carr immigration, I'm just not sure how he fits into it all. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
