Hello I too am a great-greatgranddaughter of Peter Carrell and Mary Bean.I am not deep into family research, but do a bit of digging from time to time and was thrilled to find a source for the parents of Peter Carrel. I grew up in Howell Co. Mo. I am familiar with some family history from personal knowledge. One mystery we have not been able to solve is: according to 1850 Davidson, Co. N.C. census, Peter and Mary had a child William, age 1.Other children born in N.C. were Elizabeth,Love, Franklin Stokes, Julus, Clara, Sarah.Peter,Allbert, and Immanuel were born in Howell County. It is thought Peter and Mary came to Howell County about 1868 after the Civil War. Records show Peter homesteaded in 1877. Franklin Stokes, in 1891, Elizabeth in 1891, Julius, in 1888, and Lovely in 1883. William is never listed in Howell County census.Does anyone know what happened to him? Also, who was the parent David Carrell spelled Carroll by his grandson. I have found the spelling Carrell often changed from family to family. I would appreciate hearing from some of the other Peter Carrell descendants.
