Jeanne; Thanks for your response on James Monroe Carroll, he was my GGrandfather, through son,James Leroy Wesley Carroll and Epsie Champion, and daughter Eva Lee Carroll Junkins. James Monroe married 2nd Nancy Ellen Bennett ca.1850-51. James died 9 Dec, 1902, Nancy died 14 Aug, 1895, both are buried at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery about 2 miles from the James Monroe Carroll home site. I have found out that his father was James Humphus and his mother is still unknown. I have a listing of James's children and other informatiom on his father thanks to Bermeleen (Ashcraft) Winter Albright.I have a copy of her "Carroll Connections" from her "Ashcraft Book". I will send you a copy of all available information A.S.A.P. James Monroe Carroll owned about 500 acres in Pickens and Fayette Counties,I was only able to find these records by using a name variant of "Carrell".The same variant must be used in Gwinnett and other Counties in Georgia. I do not as yet have the Carroll's in my "Family Tree Program", so the information may come slowly, but it will come. Andy JunkinsDadeville, Al.
