I wonder where your Bernard was born. There was Bernard Carroll who was 13 years old when his family emigrated to America in 1847.They accompanied by Great Great Uncle James Carroll.I have not been able to find what happed to them although I have been searching since I would like to see there is a family connect. Here is the excerpt I have listed in our family info, "James Carroll and family arrived at the Port of New York as part of the Famine Immigrants from Liverpool on the ship, Queen on 27 July 1847.Accompanying them appeared to be a Patt Carroll and family.( Their names and ages were, Patt Carroll, 43, My. Carroll, 40, Owen, 17, Isabella, 13, Bernard, 10, James, 07, and Ann, 09) ( There also a T. Carroll, age 5 who was not indicated with either family but appears on the passenger list. ) This will need to be researched further. While I know this does not help you definitely, James Carroll eventually settled in Dubuque, Iowa. You might want to concentrate on census and other records in Iowa to see if you can find him within a family context.I would like to hear from you if you find something... Thanks.
