I am trying to piece a few loose ends together. My ggg grandfather Samuel Carroll, b 1807. had a farm in Jackson Twp. Lycoming Co. perhaps as early as 1838 where he lived with his wife, Elizabeth Reynolds Carroll and their children.
The Annals of Jackson Twp. Lycoming Co. mentioned that a James Carroll served in the Rev War from Feb. 10, 1777 to Feb. 10 1781 in Col. Hayes Regiment.
The Annals also contains the following entry for 1795:
The second piece of land sold warrent 4788, western half, warrents 1613, 1614 and 1615 containing 3,159 acres to Thomas Carroll of Tennessee.
I am wondering if Thomas and James were related and if either of these men were the father of Samuel Carroll.
Please let me know if you have the answer to this puzzle.
