1880 District 9, Navarro Co, TX Census of Thomas andArcadia Carroll John CARROLLSonSMaleW1MMay TX MS MS 1900 Limestone Co, TX Census of S. & Claudia [Carroll] Stovall Carroll, Arthurb-i-lw mMay188020 S TX MS MS ========================================================= This is the last mention where I am sure it is him, but in looking, I have come across the following two census entries that I think have the possibility of being him. 1910 Walker Twp, Garvin, OK CARROLLJOHN A29MWTXMS MS Jennie28m1/51/1ALGAGA Ethelyene2OKTXAL The reasons I think it may be him is that I haven't found him in TX yet, the age and pob of him and parents is correct and the aunt of our John Arthur moved to Garvin Co, OK the same time frame; to apply for indian land based on MS Choctaw Heritage but was rejected, MCR 2853.Very slim reasoning I admit but it's all I've got at the moment. 1920 8pct McLennan Co, TX CARROLLARTHUR J39MWTX MS MS Jennie Ethelyn OK TX AL Roxie E. OK TX AL during this time John Arthur was a merchant grocer ========================================================= I don't know that this has any bearing but in 1935 our John Arthur's neice, Mary Bea Reynolds [dau of JP and Claudie [Carroll-Stovall] Reynolds] married Shelby Carlile, the son of another McLennan Co. grocer family by the names of Earl and Jewell [Shelby] Carlile; and that's where we come in.
If anyone has thoughts on this Carroll or can confirm or deny that the John A. in Garvin 1910 and Arthur J. in McLennan in 1920 is ours or not I would appreciate it. Thanks for reading, CW
