I haven't been able to link John J. Carroll to Capt. Henry James Carroll. In fact, I haven't been able to find anything on John's parents. That's why I was following Capt. Henry's line, since both of them lived on/near Susquehanna.
I also have not found any definitive information on Ann E. Hooper. It's been on my list of things to do to visit the courthouse and see the records pertaining to John and Mary Carroll vs. Samuel Hooper.Do you have a copy of that case?Somewhere online I had seen Mary Brewer listed as Ann's mother, I can't remember where though. This link says that Mary Brewer married Samuel Hooper: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=thomass&id=I28768http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=thomass&id=I28768Neither of these statements are documented, however, so I would only use them as a guide until you find something more substantiating.
A number of years ago, Carol Clemmer sent me info on the descendants of John J. Carroll and Ann E. Hooper.Do you have this? The information that you have on Jane Rebecca corresponds to what I was given from Carol.
