I feel like I should have heard of this family before.My people were James David Murray & his wife Lydia Hannah Metcalf and their dozen children of Monona.The father of James had immigrated from Ireland and "Cork" was handwritten on the page.He resided in Northampton, Burlington, NJ for some years, m. Mary Jane Lyons and had two children & then followed his in-laws to Hendricks Co., IN.He had nine children who survived & James again came to Iowa following the Lyons in-laws.I also have collateral relations, Earl & Sharon Carroll of Iowa.Some of the Murray children went to Nebraska too.The Murrays lived in western Iowa from 1873 until the present.
