Hello Jennifer,
This is Jim Carswell in Woodstock, Georgia, USA :o)
*********************************************************
I found a John Wylie who married Elspa Stevenson about 1886 in Aston, Birmingham. She was born about 1862. Could this be the parents of YOUR John Foster Wylie born in July 1884?Also … Doraville, Ga. is a little town near Atlanta, Ga. & Norcross, Ga.
*********************************************************
I also have a Sarah Wylie who married James Hardwick Jones, Sr.
Sarah Wylie & James Hardwick Jones, Sr. had a son, James Hardwick Jones, Jr. He was born on Feb 22, 1813. He married Elizabeth Ann Hickey. She had a twin brother, Alexander Carswell, Hickey. The twins were born on Nov 28 1818.
James Hardwick Jones, Jr. & Elizabeth Ann Hickey were married on Dec 12, 1837 and had the these children:
1. Mary Louiza Jones, b. sep 01, 1839 & d. Feb 13, 1873.
2. Sarah Jane Jones, b. Aug 12,1841.
3. Emma Celestia Jones, b. aug 01, 1843

9. Edwin Wylie Jones, b. May 03, 1861
I see the name “ Wylie “ shows up in the # 9 child’s name; Edwin Wylie Jones.
This Edwin Wylie Jones was born on May 03, 1861 & died in Oct 1928. He married Mamie Gordy on July 25, 1902. They had these children;
1. Gladys Jones. She married J.J. Cassidy.
2. Cecil M. Jones
3. Iva Kelly Jones
4. Edwin Jones
Jennifer, I’m sorry but I do not have any more information on this Sarah Wylie. But I thought that maybe some of the names in her family might link to some of the information that you have on YOUR Wylie Family.
Good luck,
Jim Carswell in Woodstock, Georgia, USA
