Carmel Regular Baptist Church for Edgar Pittman Carter, 33, who died last Wednesday night in Front Royal.Rev. Ray Smith officiated. The deceased was a son of Custus L. Carter and the late Mrs. Sallie Wood Carter of Luray.He was born in Charlottesville, Va., on September 1, 1913. The Carter family moved to Luray in 1934 and he lived here until going to Washington shortly before the war.He had been residing in Front Royal about a year and was employed at the Warren County Courthouse.He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Vera May Morrison, of Bentonville, whom he married at Front Royal on July 24, 1941, and one son, Edgar Pittman Carter, Jr.He also leaves his father and the following brothers and sisters:Mrs. E.
