Sadly, No living male descendants. We are daughtered-out. I have spoken with several female descendants of his father, George Turner Carter, but do not know if even they have any boys, in their families, which are still located in the same area of Halifax.I'll check around. These Carters, hail from Alton, Turbeville area, [I think Grid 16A{Roger Dodson's Property Lines Halifax Co. 1741-1901}] right next to Pittsylvania Co.I'd say that this land has been in this family since before 1800. Lemuel deeded it to 'Buck' and then George, being the youngest child, was executor of 'Buck's' estate, and of course, the girls fought over the money.I have no knowledge of who ownes it now, but the land deeds follow from generation to generation, to Joseph Alpha Carter. It sounds like to me, that yours and mine must be related; they are in the same place. Are you sure there are 3 Richards? The key of course, is the Powell line.
