Nothing to do with your quest, but King Carter researchers should take note of the infant John Carter ca. 1727.Very few were aware of him, even if he obviously died in infancy.
1) There is a proven son of Secretary John born ca. 1727 ("future heirs" in the original will of Robert in 1726 vs. "grandson John" in the 1728 Codicile) .... and yet ....there is nothing further known about him to date.Some early Carter books were not even aware of his existence, if only as an infant!
From my research on John of Watauga - whom we now know has distinct DNA aparat from King Carter.
