Carwile; he is listed as serving with both the 24th Al and the 44th Mississippi. Also Francis M. Carwile of the 24th AL is the same person as Frank M. Carwile of the 44th Mississippi.D.L. was killed at the Battle of Chickamauga, Francis M. was taken prisoner at Nashville in 1864 and was sent to Camp Douglas, IL and released in a prisoner exchange in New Orleans in May 1865.
