Judy, Thanks for the response on Jacob Carwile,Yes I have been in contact with Diana Haynes, her husband is a 2nd cousin of mine, and a great great grandson of Sarah Caroline Carwile. I have the book written by Bobby Carwile on the History of Jacob Carwile Sr.do you have it.The last e-mail to Diana, I told her I had this book, and would photo copy parts of it. My great grandfather Benjamin Nutting Wright married Sarah Caroline Carwile Sept. 6,1871 in Greeley, Kansas. Sarah was married before to Henry South,he died in 1869. Before her marriage to Henry South she lived with her 1/2 sister Nancy(starr)Sutton and her family. They moved to Kansas in 1858 from Osage Co. Missouri. Sarah's two brothers Andrew Marshall Carwile, and Jacob Newton Carwile stayed in Missouri, maybe they stayed with their 1/2 brothers or sister.Maybe you have information on this.I sure would like to find out about Sarah's mother Sarah (Combs)Starr.Jacob and Sarah married in Jefferson Co. Tenn,. Sept. 7,1837. In the book written by Bobby Carwile several of the names are incorrect in the section under Sarah Caroline Carwile. My grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Wright b. 1873-1948 andhis father was Benjamin Nutting Wright married to Sarah,he died in 1883 and in 1893 she married Allen Bingaman. Which one of the Children of Jacob Carwile are you decended, and do you know of any of the great grandchildren of Andrew Marshall or Jacob Newton Carwile.Any information you have will be appreciated and if I can help you please let me know. Sincerely, Ramon Lee Wright ShowMeAntq@aol.com p.s. I am in the Antique business in Kansas City,Kansas.
