Mildred,
Sorry I took so long to answer. Even through our ancestors tried hard to confuse us with intermarriages among cousins and moving around alot I'm pretty sure from your information that your John Casada and my Martin Casada are brothers - Abraham and Rhoda being the parents. My Martin married an Elizabeth Earl in Pulaski Co., Ky in May of 1810. They eventually moved to Jefferson Co., IA probably in the 1840's.. They had approx. 14 children.James Earl Casada born Dec. 6, 1813 in E. Tenn or Ohio(?) was my great grandfather.James also died in Jefferson Co., IA. (Oct.18, 1901).His second wife, Augusta Johnson was my great grandmother. Their daughter, Stella Casaday was my grandmother. She married Robert Henry Nichols.
A little more on Martin- he married twice more after Elizabeth's death. She died sometime in the 1850's.He married Nancy (?) in 1857. Found no children of record so far. Then he married Martha F. Riddinger in 1862. Together they had a least 2 more children.
All events took place in Jefferson Co. IA.
I have death record of James E. Cassady and marriage record of him and Augusta which shows Martin and Elizabeth as his parents.
At some point the name changed from Casada to Cassady and/or Casaday. Spelled differently on marriage and death records. You may of had this info, but in case you didn't hope it helps.Terry
