I have posted a review of "History of the Fire-Lands," published in 1879 by WW Williams on the "Firelands History Website": http://firelands.wordpress.comhttp://firelands.wordpress.com. Included in this book is a biography of Isaac Case, a soldier in the War of 1812, who settled in New London Township of the Firelands of Northwestern Ohio in 1815. In addition, there is a biography and portrait of his son, Tracy, a prominent citizen of New London. The Firelands, or Sufferers' Land, was set aside for "Sufferers" in Connecticut whose homes were burned by the British during the American Revolution. It includes present day Huron, Erie, Ottawa, and Ashland Counties in Ohio. My post includes a short synopsis of "History of the Fire-Lands" and the Table of Contents with links to the book's histories, biographies and illustrations of the pioneers and their families. I invite you to check out this interesting biography of Isaac and Tracy Case and other pioneers of the Firelands.
