Have information on this really old post if it's still needed ...William B. Timmons married (1) Nancy J. Brown in Blount Co., Tennessee on Dec. 26, 1849.Presumably Nancy passed away because on Oct. 16, 1856 William B. Timmons married (2) Lydia Ann Cashion (listed as Lyda A. Casheon and L.A. Cashen in marriage records), also in Blount Co.This matches your information, so far, except for the location - Tennessee vs. Georgia - but I think Blount Co., Tennessee is located about four counties north of the Georgia border.William B. and (2) Lydia had only two children: Sarah Jane "Sallie" Timmons and William Thomas Timmons. This doesn't match the three children you listed, but I don't know about any children that William B. had with wife (1) Nancy, and they may have been married long enough to have had three children. The 1860 census for William B. and (2) Lydia (in Ancestry.com under the name Timson) only lists their two children. One possibility seems to be that Nancy had died and their three children went to live with relatives in Georgia before William B. married Lydia.
Lydia Ann Cashion was the daughter of Jesse Cashion and Frances Bradley who were married in Chesterfield Co., Virginia Feb. 4, 1819.They moved to Blount Co., Tennessee in about 1825.Lydia was born there in 1833 and died there in 1920.
Sources:familysearch.org - marriage and death records; Findagrave.com - Lydia Ann Cashion Timmons #91621717, Sallie Timmons Hinton #5770550, and William Thomas Timmons #60195050.
William B. Timmons disappears from records after the 1860 census and presumably had died, but I haven't found a burial record for him.Lydia is listed as a widow on the 1880 census.
I'm related to Lydia and have more information on her family if wanted.
