1850 census (all below are in the same household) Prairie Twp. (Fayetteville area) 165-165 Wm. J. Casseday 31 farmer 200 KY, "I" Mary Casseday 31 OH, "I" Anna Casseday 11 AR"S" Martha M. White 8 AR Susannah Regg 18 IL Jeremiah Phelan 73 PA
I have a (Jeremiah Cassidy not verified) as the father of Hetty Chandler. Martha M. White m. Samuel Stout. Her parents were James Whyte and Nancy Cassidy. Also I find the father of Willis White to be James Wyatt. Jeremiah Phelan is the father of Mary Casseday. I don't know what the I or S means in the remarks. Would "I" be Indian? I think William J. Casseday is the brother of Hetty Chandler (Cherokee) and Nancy Whyte Cassidy.(This is a guess because of all the White children living with them.)I am researching William J Chandler and Hetty (Cassidy?),my gggrandparents.I have come upon a brick wall. Hoping someone will have reference to these names.
