My family in Wisconsin were short in stature. The women 5 feet and the men not much more. Many of the ladies had their hair long and styled it in buns. No makeup for these gals--hard workers one and all.The men were hard working--mostly factory steel workers. Average age at death was 74!
They had heavy accents-even after many years in the US.
Religion was Episcopal
Known to be fun loving, liked to gather and dance--tell stories.
