JACOB BENNETT CHAMBERS and sister ELIZABETH
I would like to hear from someone who can add to this information:
JACOB BENNETT CHAMBERS was listed on the 1850 census of Wright County, Missouri. He was living in the William Kitchen Benton home with no parents listed for him.
Jacob first married Amanda White Chambers Choate. No known children were born to them and the marriage apparently ended with a divorce.
Jacob second married to Elizabeth Stacey, the daughter of Elisha Stacey and his wife Catherine Kelly Stacey of Wright County, Missouri. One known son was born to them:
ANDREW JACKSON CHAMBERS who was raised by his maternal grandmother in Wright County and in Newton County, Arkansas.
Andrew married Mary Ellen Baker, daughter of William Berger Baker and his wife Lear Ellen Brown Chambers Holland. Mary Ellen had a sister Rebecca Elizabeth Caldwell who moved and raised her family in Texas. Children of Andrew and Mary:
Miley Catherine, Mary Mae, Lilly Eva Grace, and Merica Elizabeth Chambers Murphy. Two of the girls married Johnson brothers and the other married a Holliday. They grew up around St. Louis, Missouri and spent a few years in Pope County, Arkansas.
ELIZABETH CHAMBERS was listed on the 1850 Wright county, Missouri census as living in the William Franklin home. She was 13/14 years old. Not much else is known about her.
JAMES CHAMBERS married to Agnes is listed on the 1860 census for Wright County, Missouri. Can someone tell me if he is the same James who is also listed on the 1840 census of Pulaski County, Missouri?
Let me hear from fellow researchers and maybe this brick wall will come tumbling down this year.
Thanks,
Polly
