Richard.
Sorry should have been 1819 for George Chowne.I was given the same date for John I will have to check.
What a small world.
I am not sure how the numbers go for Cutlers Croft but when grandparents lived there. As you stand by front fence.
Dolly Reeves lived in the first one, the only name I can remember. then my grandparents then the house that shared the same garden, a Mrs Watts lived. The garden at the back was very long and chickens were kept up the end. Grandfather was very proud of his garden. I know I took my mother up to see the old place and spoke to the owners of Mrs Watts house they said quite a lot of alterations had been done to no 2.
I remember you had to kneel down to look out the bedroom windows.I have some pics which I will sent to your e-mail address.I also remember aschild climbing through the secret door off the stairs.I didn't know about the bet interesting. You have set me remembering a lot of thing about staying there all good.
I am pleased that I am right about being right about Charlotte and Alfred Parr.
My I add another odd thing.
My auntie Florence who lived in Brighton,Had at one time a lot of stuffed birds in glass domed cases.I was told they came from someone in the family ??
