Judy, Thanks, I will try to look at book at the LDS site.I did try to visit the website of Albert Brigance and left an email message that was never answered, but I will try again.
The Moses Christenbury on the 1839 census from Mecklenburg County is 50 and under 60 (born between 1770 and 1780).The William B. Christenbury living 6 residences away from Moses is 30 and under 40 (born between 1790 and 1800).If the census taker was right (big if) his age would not agree with the William Baxter Christenbury (born about 1872).
Mr Brigance believed that in addition to the children listed for James T. Christenbury in the 1850 census, he had an additional son named Samuel H. (born about 1830).His other son was named Daniel Robinson. He also suspected that Caleb E. Christenbury might be a son of James T.Of course since I can't be sure that the James Christenbury listed in the 1830 census is my James T. Christenbury who knows! Again, thanks for your help and suggestions. Ron
