Searching for connections to my g-grandfather, August (another name may have been Bertram) CHRISTIANSEN, originally from either Denmark or Norway. He was the 2nd husband of Bertha LARSEN (who was widowed in the early to mid-1880's from Karl LUNDEGAARD).
Bertha and August lived in Philadelphia, PA and had 3 children: Amanda B. CHRISTIANSEN (b. May 1885; m. Harry LINDSAY), Cornelius CHRISTIANSEN (b. Aug. 1887; d. Nov. 1924), and my grandmother Elizabeth M. CHRISTIAN (b. Nov. 1890, m. Joseph LAREAU). He is believed to have died in the early 1890's, cause and place unknown.
On my grandmother's marriage license application in 1915, she noted her father's birthplace as "Itaca, NY" although all other census references suggest he was born in Denmark or Norway. There were likely siblings of August CHRISTIANSEN or Bertha whom we can't identify -- a family legend was that my grandmother lost 6 uncles in the Civil War.
Any persons with possible connections in Philadelphia, PA or Ithaca, NY or elsewhere please contact me!
