In 1810 Andrew Chunn of Fauquier County was listed as one of the initial Trustees of a newly established village at Ashby's Gap called "Paris". This village now finds itself in jeopardy. To learn more about its history and to see a few photo's - old and modern - please go to: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ridge/3563/preserveparis.htmlhttp://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ridge/3563/preserveparis.html Early inhabitants of Paris include other surnames that also appear in the Andrew Chunn lineage shown in another post on this forum - ADAMS, ASHBY, RUST - and probably others. I'm a 5th generation native of Paris trying to help preserve the village for future generations. I hope you make a connection there.
