I have a page copied out of a book about pioneers in Virginia. It lists one of Thomas Sharp Sr's daughters as marrying a man named Chruchman. I think she was nmaed Rebecca Churchman. Moses Sharp, who was a Rev war soldier out of Fredrick County, Va, when he filed for his pension in Grainger County, had an Elizabeth and Edith Chruchman testify at his hearing-stating they knew him in chldhood and remembered his coming home from the war. The Hankins and Sharp family from Frederick county VA. intermarried and the same Elizabeth Chruchman testified at Abe Hankins trial, in adjacent Knox Co, Tn, that she knew him and of his rev war service. At some time at least part of the Chruchman family moved to Graingaer County, as did the Hankins and later the Sharp families.Elizabeth Chruchman is listed as living in Grainger County when she testified Moses Sharp.I think I know where Moses Sharp fits into all of this but currently I need more proof. I think there is a connection between the families since they moved together after the rev. war into what was then the N.C. territory. If you wish I will send you the page I have from the book-but you may already have that. I am not sure if Edith or Elizabeth Chruchman married in Grainger County for I have only one record of a Chruchman female marriage in that county. I don't think this will help but it might give you some leadn as to the way some of the family migrated.
