Hi Donald - Are you still out there?I've started to look over some of my old research on the Cihlars and I keep coming back to the possibility that James Motycka/Moticka married Mary Cihlar.I know your grandmother's death certificate said Timmer, but if there is a possibility, I'd like to check it out.
Do you have any idea when your Mary Motycka died and/or where she was living when she died?If your Mary is the same as mine, she may have died prior to April 1919, because the obit for Frank Cihlar listed daughter Emily England, but Mary wasn't listed.I found a record of a marriage between James Motycka and Mary Cihlar on 5-21-1901.Mary shows up with her family on the 1900 census. On the 1910 census, the word "Mary" is listed, along with "Mo" under last name and then her name was crossed out.
You mentioned in your post that Emma Draxlir & Ann Reno were born in Germany.Do you have an approximate birth date for either of them?As you probably know, this line is extremely frustrating since most of the men are named Frank, James or Joseph and the women are mostly Mary, Anna or Emma/Emily.Anyway, any clues you can throw my way would be appreciated.
