This is such a long shot - but we have a little community cemetery that we recently restored, just a ways outside of Caldwell, Idaho.Among those buried there are Charles Thompson Claybaugh (1882-1962), his first wife Bessie Margaret Johnston 1887-1921; Lavaerna Tatum Claybaugh (1909-1994).They homesteaded in the area around 1918.Charles parents and siblings were on the 1900 census in Nebraska (Father WIlliam born Oct 1847 and Mother Elja M. born August 1850:Ten children:Michael, Charles, Joseph, Sara, James, Edwin, Martha.William was in the Civil War and a lay missionary for the Presbyterian church. They came to Idaho in 1915 and are buried at the Canyon Hill Cemetery.Beside the well marked graves is a stone with nothing but the name "Carroll".None of the old timers recollect who that might be.I wondered if you might have any information about [email protected]
