I have collected from undocumented sources the following: Dandridge Clasby fathered Dandridge B. Clasby b. 18 Jun 1827 Henry Co, TN - d. one source gives 7 Oct 1865 MO 2nd source gives 1868 IN, from wounds suffered in the Civil War. Served in Union Army.married in Spencer County, Indiana about 1846 to Mary Huldah Thurman b. 16 Dec 1829 KY - d. after 1910 Fairbury, Jefferson Co, NE d/o William Thurman b. 1808 VA and his wife Susannah ne'Thurman b. 1810. After the death of Dandridge the family moved to MO. Later, Mary Huldah ne'Thurman Clasby married Hugh Gilbreath and re-settled in Fairbury, Nebraska near a married daughter. The children of Dandridge B. Clasby and Mary Huldah ne'Thurman Clasby: (1) Amanda Ann (2)John Crooks (3) William (4) Sophia (5) Andrew J. 'Jack' (6) Susannah E. 'Susan' (7) Mary Isabell 'Bell' and (8) Louis Clinton. I would be very much interested in having any details you might have of these children...birth and death data, locations, names of their spouses etc. If you are working in public records on this connection, you might search for a will or probate in Henry Co, TN for a Dandridge Clasby. Or, if tradition is correct that Dandridge B. went to Spencer Co as 'a young man' perhaps he came with his parents and you might find a death record there. It is not inconcievable that Dandridge B.'s parents lived beyond the Civil War and in that case, might have followed the family to Dade and Greene Counties in MO. When I do get to my original records searches for this family that will be the order in which I will search, but since you are looking now, maybe you would like to give those three states and counties your attention. Good luck.
