Dana, I forgot to add that I had found Phillip and family in the 1860 Limestone County, Alabama census and living next door to them was head of household Elizabeth A. Clem age 38 b. Va Napolean B. 12, AL; Andrew J. 10, AL; and Susan E. A, 8, AL.
My great grandfather's family as follows: George Clem b. 1862 d. 1916 married Sarah Frances (Sallie) Tatum children: John W. Clem, Mattie Clem, Minnie Mae Clem(my grandmother), and Eddie Clem. I also have found James Edward Clem and Horace Clem as their children as well but when I chatted with Eddie Clem's sons George and Paul they didn't have a clue who these children were so they either died in childhood or they don't belong to this family one.
Minnie Mae Clem married Erby Tish Brooks (my grandparents) Interesting tidbit is that Tish had a brother Bud T. that married Minnie's sister Mattie. The Clem's were angry about the marriage between Minnie and Tish as she was a mere 13 and Tish was 21. Their marriage lasted till the death of Papa Brooks in 1966. If you want the dates that goes with these families I can provide birth/death/marriage dates, etc. Contact me at my email address listed and I will help where I can.
